TagGate

An RFID gate-control system that checks company devices at entry and exit points using asset ownership and permission rules.

The problem

Admins needed a reliable way to register company devices, assign each item to an employee, and define whether that device could enter, exit, or be flagged at a checkpoint. Security staff needed a fast operator screen that could scan an RFID tag and show the decision immediately.

System scope

The system combines an admin console for asset registration, employee allocation, permission rules, logs, and audit history with a checkpoint web screen for guard operators. When an RFID-tagged device is scanned, the operator can see the asset, assigned custodian, current permission, and recommended action.

Outcome

TagGate connects asset accountability with gate-level decisions, giving administrators a clearer record of device movement and giving security staff a faster way to validate laptops and equipment during entry and exit checks.

System areas

01

Asset allocation

Admin records for company devices, RFID tags, assigned employees, departments, and current ownership status.

02

04

Audit trail

Movement logs that show who scanned what, when the check happened, and which decision was made.
